How it works

  1. Write the objectName it plainly, say what it is made of, and ask for a plain background. Skip lighting and mood — they change the picture, not the object.
  2. A reference image is writtenThis is the step that explains everything text-to-3D is good and bad at: the mesh is reconstructed from a picture, so anything the picture did not show is inferred.
  3. The mesh is reconstructedTextured by default, with PBR materials available.
  4. Refine itRetopologise to your polygon budget, unwrap, and texture — all in the same studio.

What people use it for

  • Concepting, when nothing has been drawn yet
  • Set dressing and background props at volume
  • Prototype stand-ins that are recognisable at gameplay distance
  • Exploring a shape language before committing an artist to it

What it cannot do

  • Lettering comes back as letter-shaped marks — generate the object plain and add text as a decal
  • One object per prompt. Two things produce one mesh containing two things, fused where they touched
  • The back is inferred. Use multi-view when the far side matters
  • No exact dimensions, ever
  • Interiors and enclosed volumes are guesswork
