Counted honestly

The info panel reports the total part count, combined file size and total polygons across every loaded piece.

How it works

  1. Pick a finished modelGenerated or uploaded — segmentation runs on any mesh in your library.
  2. Run segmentationThe model is converted to FBX first where needed, priced as its own line and included in the quote.
  3. Inspect the partsEach piece gets a colour and a row. Hide the ones you are not interested in.
  4. ExportIndividually, or combined into one file with the pieces intact.

What people use it for

  • Assigning different materials to different components
  • Making a lid, a drawer or a wheel move independently
  • Replacing one component of a model without regenerating it
  • Simplifying only the parts nobody looks at
  • Breaking a generated asset into a kit of reusable pieces

What it cannot do

  • Cuts follow shape, not function. A handle visually continuous with a body stays attached
  • Pieces meet exactly where the surface was cut — there is no hidden geometry behind a join, so an opened drawer reveals a hole
  • Segmented is not the same as modelled in parts. Interiors that were never there are still not there
  • Shading modes are unavailable on a segmentation, because parts are tinted to be tellable apart
